Silent film actor William Haines managed to net a few talkie film successes before his acting career fizzled, starring alongside Marion Davies in King Vidor's Show People (1928) and Joan Crawford in Edward Sedgwick's West Point (1927). Born in Manhattan, Judith Allen started out as a model and was signed to Paramount after being discovered by Cecil B. DeMille. She then starred in his 1933 film This Day and Age and went on to appear in several westerns, including Boots and Saddles (1937) with Gene Autry.
