Description: Here's a terrific item for college football fans... This is an official game day program for the annual Harvard-Yale game at Harvard Stadium on November 20, 1948. Harvard stunned the visitors on the first play from scrimmage as the Crimson shifted from the T formation to the old fashioned single wing and halfback Hal Moffie rambled 80 yards for a touchdown. The Bulldogs clawed back to tie, but Harvard scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to secure the victory before 52,000 fans at the Stadium. Inside, you'll find all the game information you'd want and pictures of the coaches and players as well as photos of other Harvard and Yale squads competing on rivalry weekend. There are also period advertising from businesses around Boston that provide a terrific snapshot of a football weekend at mid-century. You'll find the colorful 68-page program to be in solid condition. See the description above. It definitely shows it age, but remember items like this weren't intended to survive this long. That's why they're called "ephemera." See the attached images for a fair representation. I offer free shipping to all U.S. addresses, so what you bid is what you pay, plus of course any applicable state or local sales tax! Any questions? Get in touch!
