Description: OWN A PRO WRESTLING GRAIL This is a full ticket from the historic WWWF Title Change that ushered in a new era in professional wrestling. On February 8, 1971, Puerto Rico’s own Pedro Morales defeated Russian Koloff for the WWWF Heavyweight Title in the pro wrestling mecca, New York’s Madison Square Garden. A piece of wrestling history from the heyday of the World Wide Wrestling Federation. Ticket is in GORGEOUS condition with no bends or creases. See photos for details. I have also included 2 Polaroid photos of Morales and Koloff from 1971. These were also part of the estate that this collection came from. Ticket lists the date as All Star Wrestling- October 5, 1970. WWWF did not run a show at MSG on 10/5/70. MSG tickets stock was often reused in the event of a date change, typo etc. and rather than reprint tens of thousands of tickets, they were stamped with the corrected date. This was the case with their 2/8/71 show and numerous others over the years. This was common practice for all MSG events, not only wrestling.
