Description: WWII Feb 4, 1945 Philippines Theater Knife Hand-Made with Leather Sheath. This HAND-MADE Philippines Theater Knife if part of a family estate. This item was my father's knife acquired during his service period. He was en-route to the Philippines when the end of WWII was signed. He served there for almost a year in a clean-up operation. I have included a picture of my father by the Bataan sign. This is a beautiful knife with one side of the blade etched with, "2-4 Philippines 1945". It has been verified by a knife expert that it was a theater knife and that the "2-4" was probably for Feb. 4, 1945 date. That would put that knife's creation during the war.I have no males in the family that would like this souvenir. I am hoping that a good collector will purchase this knife. The knife weighs 6.7 oz with the leather sheath. It weighs 5.9 oz without the sheath. The blade measures 8 inches. The width of the blade is 1 1/8 inches. The thickness near the handle is 1/8 inch. The handle is 4 1/2 inches long. It measures approximately 1 inch x 5/8 inches. Please see pictures for details and quality.
