Description: Please feel free to make an offer. An original period model Spitfire created from scrap pieces of aircraft Perspex. A nice example of an small Mounted Spitfire. I believe is constructed from recovered aviation plastic maybe from the canopy from crashed aircraft. Two pieces are glued together & there are lots of internal stress fractures that make the light reflect nicely when you tilt in in the light. It also looks quite Art Deco in its style & form. But I believe it to be around the 1940s WW2 time. The base is aluminium & the circular support is also perspex. It's likely to of been handmade & is well constructed. In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. There's some historical damage as the two rear tail wings & propeller are missing A very nice decorative item which would suit lots of properties & RAF or Military collections. Quite small at approx 6" tall. Please study the images as they also form part of the description & please do your own research. All UK postage includes the extra cost of being signed for, for added peace of mind. Positive feedback is always appreciated.
