The medal was originally suspended from a crossed flags pin-back which, unfortunately, is missing. The medal is marked "800" for .800 silver construction and has a nice even patina. On the front is "Einig und Treu" (United and Loyal) and on the reverse "Errinerung an die Siegreichen Kampfer im Ost u. West" (In Commemoration of the Victorious Battles in the East and West) and "1914". A great addition to your collection, or an excellent and memorable gift.
