Description: Up for sale here is this recap kit for the Wurlitzer 548 amplifier, found in the 3200 and 3210 jukebox. At this point the amp is around 55 years old, and the old capacitors are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes replacement electrolytic and film capacitors to replace all of the old electrolytic, can, and molded capacitors. It also includes instructions to explain how to install everything. The instructions will also go over some basics for working on tube gear. This does not include any tubes or other capacitors or resistors. New caps are Supertech axial electrolytics, Supertech MPT film capacitors, three Epcos snap-in radial capacitors--you will get the exact parts shown in the picture. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I work on vintage gear. The parts included are mostly exact uf replacements, some of which you can't really find anywhere else. These mostly go higher in voltage compared to the originals--the film caps are 630v and one 1200v, the Epcos caps are 80v and 100v, and the Supertech axial electrolytics are 50v. Some caps go up a bit in capacitance--the 3000 uf can is replaced with a 3300 uf cap, the 2000 uf can is replaced with a 2200 uf, the 350 uf cap is replaced with a 330 uf, the 175 uf caps are replaced with 220 uf, and the 2 uf caps are replaced with 2.2 uf. There are radial snap-in capacitors to replace the can capacitors--you can remove the old cans and epoxy the new snap-in caps in their places, or just disconnect the cans and wire in the new caps under the chassis. Nice and easy. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions (with a link to download a fairly bad schematic), but rebuilding tube gear is somewhat complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. This kit will not fix everything that could be wrong with your equipment, but it will certainly help. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18, no matter what quantity you buy.
