Description: Here is the detachable hood that was designed for wear with the US M1943 Field Jacket. As you can see, this example has been issued and exhibits wear accordingly (used, not abused). Just a nice honest example that has no doubt taken part in the history we collect. The spec label is present, but completely washed out. It's rare to find these hoods with any spec label at all. The hood remains in good condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. All the buttons are present, and maintains structural integrity. Minor fading or soiling may be evident.
