Description: For offer is a vintage, Mexican silver and abalone, butterfly-shaped brooch. The wings have two layers the abalone layer sticks out to make the pin 3D. The hallmark is difficult to read. At the bottom of one wing is the Eagle 3 mark which denotes that it was made in Taxco. At the bottom of the other wing it is signed with the a circular maker’s mark that didn’t all fit. I believe the top of the circle should say Sterling and the bottom should say Mexico. It has MCM in the middle of the circle. It is tarnished but in good condition.
