For the North American market, only 1,600 were produced in April and May 1993, half wagons and half sedans. European Classics have fully equipped interior with wood dash trim and "Classic" badges on hatch/deck lid. In addition to the European equipment, the 1,600 North American Classics have body-matched painted grilles and side mirrors, special 14" alloy wheels, production-number plaque in dash, and special paint colors — ruby red or metallic dark teal green.We are supplying just the wood trim, so please understand the following : You will have to carefully remove thin aluminum extruded strips from the existing plastic trim that is currently installed on the dash board of your Volvo. The thin aluminum trim has to be CAREFULLY installed them onto the wood trim parts that we will supply to you. We recommend using some sort of glue to secure aluminum parts to the wood trim. There are 4 parts of the trim on the dash board of your volvo 240. Please align the mounting holes in the dash board against the pins on the back side of the wood trim you received from us. Please make sure the holes are lining up , trim and widen the holes in the dash board as needed for exact proper fit. The wooden trim was fixed to the dash board on classic models with what appears to be a hot glue. same type of glue is holding your GLOVE BOX face cover to the backing plate of your Volvo 240You may want to use the same just on the stems of the mounting pins.
