Vintage Rolex ref. 2940 Steel Bubbleback Watch Wristwatch Running Condition

Description: Beautiful Rolex ref. 2940 steel Bubbleback. Please refer to the photos, which are an integral part of the description. - Very clean condition pearl/silver colour dial with nice and still shiny gold baton hour markers. Signed "Swiss" at the very bottom. - Nice clean gold "alpha" shape hour and minute hands, and the original blued steel seconds hand. - Very good condition case. The case-back screws down easily and securely. Very clear case serial number between the lugs. The case serial is 395k. - Please note that crown and tube threads are no longer engaging (i.e. the crown won't screw down) so crown and/or tube may need replacing (or possibly the threads just need cleaning). - The plastic crystal is cracked and internally crazed. - The watch sets, winds and runs, but the movement has not been checked for timekeeping or amplitude. Service history is unknown. Please assume that the watch would benefit from a service if it's to be worn regularly. - Sold “head only” with no bracelet, strap or buckle included (note: the strap shown in a couple of the photos is for illustration only). - No box or papers. Within UK, I will post out using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Internationally, I will ONLY send tracked and signed-for via courier service (e.g. via UPS or DHL), using an ebay postage label where available, at a cost to the buyer of GBP 50 (this is reflective of actual costs).
