Description: This vintage Okinawan Geisha doll comes with a beautiful case and has been carefully crafted in Japan and showcases the exquisite craftsmanship of the Japanese culture. The doll is handmade and represents a stunning piece of art that is a perfect addition to any collection. The doll falls under the categories of dolls, Japanese, 1900-Now, Asian, Cultures & Ethnicities, and Collectibles, making it a unique and valuable item. It is a rare find that captures the essence of Japanese tradition and is sure to be a cherished possession for any collector. Originally purchased in Okinawa by a parent, it has remained in the family exclusively but in storage for many years. The doll is 18" tall and stands on a wooden base. The Wooden and Glass case is 12" deep and 22" high and includes a life-size Geisha fan. The doll has some dust but otherwise in excellent shape. The wooden framed case is in very good condition except for the outside back panel which has a moisture-like stain (see photos). However, the inside back panel is in excellent shape covered with silver-like material with bamboo window. The wooden black-lacquer base is chipped (see photo). Smoke free. NOTE: Due to the fragile nature of the doll and wood/glass case, items will be shipped disassembled (see photos) and packaged separately with care to prevent damage in transit. Re-assembly is intuitive and easy, but parts are delicate. Total weight of both packages is 8lb, 4oz.
