Description: Very large MCM Amber hobnail swung vase, I believe it was probably made by Fenton, but it is unmarked as such. The other examples that I can find all run in the 20"-21" range. This one measures in at 22.5" so it is unusually large. There are no chips or cracks, but it does have a limescale stain on the inside top rim opening. I tried lemon juice, vinegar and combinations with baking soda and it is less than it was, but it is not completely gone. My guess is that it needs a commercial limescale remover, I just don't want to treat it with something that may harm the glass. Better to leave it to someone who knows more about glass than I do. I also noted that the footed base appears to have press lines- like in pressed glass from molds. I don't know exactly what that means. I am guessing that the base was originally pressed into a mold to get the hobnail design and then the top vase is blown and stretched to get the finger pulls? See the lines and feel free to ask any questions! Realistic Customer Expectations= Customer Satisfaction... I am a junk dealer, not a chain retailer. Most of the items that I sell are vintage, used and loved- they are RARELY going to be perfect. You may consider something a problem that I have not even considered as a defect. So, please ask all pertinent questions prior to buying, read ALL of the descriptions and conditions and be sure to look at all of the photos. I strive to take high quality pictures from all sides of the item which is the BEST description of any item and I do my best to highlight any notable defects. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do for you, but I will not give partial refunds, so please do not even ask.
