Description: This vintage matchbook cover is of The Carolina Inn at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It is probably from the 1950s and is in overall good, unused condition. It is mostly blue and has sharp and clean corners although one side is slightly crimped (see pic). The unused striker is on the bottom and indicative of the cover's age. The back is blank although there is slight fading in the corners as a result of being in a folder for decades. This cover is a great addition to any collection of vintage items. Made in the United States by the Ohio Match Co., this matchbook cover is a piece of American history. Free shipping! The Carolina Inn was built in 1923 and donated to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1935. It is currently operated by Hyatt.
