Description: Made in West Germany by Marzi & Remy, known for their beer steins and cobalt blue-grey salt glaze products, until they closed their doors in 1994. This piece is a 1-liter pitcher with 4 matching cups, part of a collection of pitchers, each marking the amount that they hold. It is hand-painted, no two are exactly alike. This pitcher stands 5 1/2" tall with a 4 1/2" opening and its 6 1/2" at its widest point. The salt glaze has a smooth and glossy finish. It does however have a small hairline crack on the bottom, but it does not leak. Probably would be best used as a vase or a decorator piece. The pitcher has been stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. All care is used when shipping fragile items.
