Description: Vintage L.G. Wright Amberina Wine Glass Daisy And Button Pattern Red And Yellow 3 1/8” x 3 1/8” x 6” 12.7 oz This is a very nice vintage (c.1950-1960s) L.G. Wright Glass Company amberina paneled daisy and button pattern wine glass. Per the internet “Amberina glass was first patented in the US by Joseph Locke and Edward D. Libby in 1883. Amberina glass is "heat sensitive" glass, which shades in color from amber at the bottom to red at the top. This is due to the effects of reheating the top part of the glass before allowing it to cool. Amberina glass contains a precipitate of colloidal gold (as does gold ruby glass), which is heat sensitive and turns red at the right temperature.” This glass is in nice shape. Please see pictures for condition detail.
