Description: My grandmother collected anything elephant related. We are now cleaning out the estate. I believe this is a plant stand. The whole piece appears to be cast iron. Painted on both sides. The item stands about 6” tall and the pot holder part is 8 1/2” across. It was in her living room but I don’t recall there ever being a plant on it. I don’t think this is extremely old. Maybe 1970-80s? I believe there are companies that made reproduction pieces of old cast items. The screw that holds the two pieces together is a flat blade vs a Phillips head. Maybe that helps age this. I’ll list as a reproduction as to not upsell this piece. I don’t see any others listed or sold to compare it to.
