Description: Offered for purchase is a vintage piece of brutalist studio art pottery. It is a squat vase with a unique lava-like texture on the outer surface. The glaze is an earthy mix of green, brown, yellow, and black. It is signed and numbered by the artist (photo 7). The initials look like SLB and it is numbered 6/99. Approx. Dimensions: The opening of the vase is 4 inches in diameter. The bowl is about 6 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall. It weighs almost 3 pounds by itself. Condition: Overall very good. There are normal signs of cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. There are a number of discolorations on the inner surface of the vase (photo 6). There is a small crack on the base of the vase (photo 8), which could have occurred during the firing process. The lava-like outer surface does not appear to have any chips or cracks, but due to the rustic design, it's hard to identify noticeable damage. Please inspect all of the photos - they are part of the description. Please note this item will ship USPS Ground Advantage with tracking and insurance.
