Description: I’m very excited to offer this incredible surface mounted, bare bulb style pan light! This fixture, from about 1910, is in fantastic vintage condition with a gently mottled patina that brass can only acquire through decades of oxidation. I have not polished the metal as to preserve the color, but it did get a thorough cleaning. There are some minor surface irregularities, but this can be expected from any fixture from this era. Notice the “wave” border and the ornate stamped rim! The sockets are vintage and in fine shape. The wiring is new - cloth covered like the original would have been. The shade is interesting, featuring a faux drapery look. The frosted finish softens the light when lit, and it is a snug fit inside the holder. There is one fitter end chip to the rim, but this cannot be noticed once installed. I would recommend a warm white LED bulb for the center, and reproduction Edison style bulbs (or perhaps gold frosted?) bulbs for the outer two, exposed sockets with the leafy covers. Bulbs are not included in the sale. This fixture measures 19.5 - inches long to the bottom of the center shade, and the pan measures 14 - inches by 8 - inches. It is perfectly scaled for a small foyer, a hallway, or a bedroom, perhaps! This fixture can be screwed directly to the ceiling via two holes in the pan, if you like (that is how it is intended to be mounted), but I will be including a custom bracket so that one does not have to screw it to the ceiling directly if one does not wish to, depending on the circumstances of your intended installation. These mounting holes measure 9.5 - inches apart on center. Shipped via UPS Ground. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have before making a purchase.
