Description: vintage 70s FOGHAT RUSH LITTLE RIVER BAND FAREWELL TEXAS SUMMER 1979 t-shirt S This vintage concert tee comes from the Farewell to Texas Summer show held at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas Texas in 1979. The show featured Little River Band, Billy Thorpe, Pat Travers Band, and Point Blank with Foghat and Rush serving as the Headliners. The concert was considered a part of the Texxas Jam series of summer concerts. Other Texxas Jam concerts included acts like Aersomith, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, and Van Halen. Farewell to a Texas Summer was given its name to honor that it was the last concert of the last weekend of the last summer of the 70s. At the time, Rush was touring to promote their album from the previous year, Hemispheres. They would take a short break before recording their seventh studio album Permanent Waves. This album would include the singles "The Spirit of the Radio", "Freewill", and "Entre Nous". Meanwhile Foghat was only a month away from releasing their album Boogie Motel, which would be recorded at the Boogie Motel Studios in Port Jefferson, New York. This album included the song "Somebody's Been Sleepin' in My Bed", which would also be featured on The Best of Foghat. This shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small. This item is from the estate of Craig MacGregor, the bassist for the band Foghat in the 1970s, 80s, and again in the 2000’s. The item was owned by Craig, a collector of t-shirts, and stored for some time in a basement before it came into our possession. As a result there may be some lingering basement odor.
