Description: Vintage 1960 N.S. Meyer VPI Virginia Polytechnic Institute Virginia Tech VTCC Corp of Cadets Officers Presentation Sword / Saber Appears to be in overall good condition but does show signs of age and service. The blades ricasso reads Trade Challenger Mark Stainless N.S. Meyer INC. on one side and shows the PROVED proof disc on the other side. Engraving on the sword has 1960 Dennis A. Dunn (name of previous owner), Crossed Canons, War Memorial Court & Pylons, Crossed Guns, American Eagle, US Flag, the state motto "E Pluribus Unum", 1872, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Virginia Polytechnic Institute Seal, Campus Building, UT Proism Seal, Virginia State Seal. The black plastic grips are in good condition however each side has noticeable cracks at the pommel end. The grip guard does show signs of aging and wear and is missing the tassle. Scabbard is in good condition but does shows sign of age an wear, pitting and rust. The blade fits in the scabbard securely and is easily removed, only a light amount of tension holds it in place.
