Description: This vintage minaudiere from the 1940s/1950's is a true gem. Made of metal, it features compartments for powder (original powder doesn't look touched!), lipstick holder and a comb (mirror not included). The mirror must have been broken many years ago and at some point a silver gum wrapper had been put in its place. The intricate design and attention to detail make it a perfect addition to any collection. Has a sleek out case with engraved lines but just look at that engineered engraving inside! Beautiful. Has a nice snake chain handle. It has 2 dents on one outside panel and the inner circular grate has a small curved spot missing. I have only done a basic cleaning. Measures approx 4" x 3" x .75". Handle has a 3 3/4" drop. A fantastic find! I can't find a makers name anywhere but may have simply missed it. Very well made. The country of manufacture is the United States.
