Description: Vintage 1920's Celluloid Powder Compact Dance Purse. This is a very neat and unique piece. It is made of green Celluloid with different sized celluloid flowers going down the front. Besides flowers are painted black leaves. The body of the purse is in good condition with just some minor light scratches. There are two tiny nicks out of the back which look to be part of the melting process of the celluloid material. Mirror is not real clear and has some tiny specks of color off the mirror. Handle and Lipstick Tail have been nicely remade and are not original. The metal containers inside the purse are in good condition. Containers were originally used for powder and rouge. Compact without handle and tail measures 4 3/8" L x 2 3/8" W. Handle is 6 1/2" L, 7" L. The entire purse measures 17" long.
