These knives are done in the popular Kings I pattern, which dates to 1876. The knives are solid silver throughout, both the blades and the handles, which are not hollow and not weighted. The knives have rounded tips, in the old French style. The terminals of the knives are monogrammed with 'CTC' in elegant script. This set is in fabulous condition. There is some surface wear, as should be expected since the pieces have not been buffed. There are no bends, no breaks, no nicks, no monogram removals and no repairs. Each knife is hallmarked on the blade with the maker's mark for Gorham, the words 'sterling' and 'patent 1876'. Each knife is approximately 8 3/8 inches long.
