You will be replacing the broken PLASTIC part with a BRASS one. You will not need to remove the window regulator from the door to do the repairs. The mounting rivet that once held PLASTIC slide block to the arm must be carefully removed by using Dremel type tool. (Please put on some protective eye-wear.) Knock the rivet out of the arm once you ground the cap of the rivet (short part of the rivet) - Now you can Install the new screw that we provided in to the hole of the brass block, install the brass block into the slide of the window bracket. Push the threaded portion through the hole of the arm (you just removed the rivet from it) and install the nut with nylon lock on it. You may want to try installing the nut onto the bolt before, just to make sure they fit nicely) Once the nut is on the threaded part- tighten it all the way down. You may want to use small vice-grip pliers or an adjustable wrench to hold the bolt steady while tightening the assembly. We machined 2 flat spots at the tip of the bolt to help with the process. Your repair is complete. It is permanent. Enjoy your window going up and down as needed. Apply one drop of your favorite assembly oil some of the pictures with the newspaper background are showing the part that you are replacing with the repair kit that we made.
