Description: For sale are Two (2) Antique Copper Flashed (Japanned) Half Mortise Tri-Lobe Cabinet Hinges, in unused condition. Estimated age would be the 1920s to 1940s. The hinges are made of stamped steel. Even though these hinges have not been used, the copper flashing has deteriorated, as is normal for a copper flashed finish of this age (depending on the flashing process used). The deterioration results in the hinge having a duller appearance, especially the area flashed black. The hinges measured 2 1/2" long (total length), 1 7/8" wide at the shoulders of the door wing, 1 1/2" wide cabinet wing. The Tri-Lobe portion of the hinge is flush mounted across the face of the cabinet door, and the cabinet wing is mortised, or recessed into the side of the cabinet. Ten (10) Original mounting screws are included. It is noted one of the mounting screws has an oval head, and is not flat like the other nine screws. Please carefully examine the photographs to assess the condition of the hinges and whether or not they are suitable for your intended use. Sale is for Two (2) Antique Copper Flashed (Japanned) Half Mortise Tri-Lobe Cabinet Hinges, as shown in above photographs.
