It was published by Longmans, Green, and Co., of London, in 1876 and is one of the wonderful vintage “Epochs of Modern History” editions, edited by Edward E. Morris, M.A. & J. Surtees Phillpotts, B.C.L. The book measures 6.25 inches x 4.5 inches and has 246 pages + maps. The book is in good, neat condition for its age, with minor wear and is a little blemished/grubby to the original embossed cloth hardback cover, with a little light foxing near the covers (bottom corner tip missing on page 66). There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The binding is good with no loose or missing pages. There is no dust-jacket. A wonderful VICTORIAN edition.
