Their catalog is full of legendary blues musicians, so this was something different for Bluesway. The James Gang is a trio here with Joe Walsh on Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals, Tom Kriss on Bass Guitar and Jim Fox on Drums. The songs are full of jam style rock with some funk and blues still retaining pop sensibility, but is definitely indicative of album rock in general. Yer' Album features Joe Walsh after he recently joined the group. The Album was produced by Bill Szymczyk. This would be the beginning of a long relationship with Szymczyk as he would produce numerous albums for both Joe Walsh, The James Gang and The Eagles. Later Walsh in particular would go on to have an illustrious career as a solo artist and be a member of The Eagles.
