Description: The Clash The ClashCBS CBS 82000UK 1977 Original UK issue, first pressing with no "Nineden Ltd/Riva Mus. Ltd." publishing credits. Sunburst labels with an arrow under 'STEREO'. Matrix/Runout variant is A5/B3. Bought second hand in 2001, played infrequently, and not at all for about twenty years, during which time it has been stored carefully. So it's been well looked after and is in the same condition now as when purchased. Cleaned with vinyl cleaning solution and play graded. Vinyl grade - visual: VG. There are sleeve removal hairlines visible under light and a couple of light scratches not affecting play. Side 2, tracks 5 and 6 have small, but more noticeable, scratches (see last photo). These have a minimal effect on the audio (see below). Vinyl grade - audio: VG+. The record mostly plays EX, with no surface noise or any other audio defects, apart from very quiet crackle here and there in the silence between tracks, hardly noticeable. The scratches on Side 2, tracks 5 and 6 produce a few clicks that can hardly be heard over the music, but this drops the overall grading down a notch. Sleeve grade: VG+. Very minor corner and edge wear. Minor creasing around the edges. A more noticeable crease on the front bottom right/rear bottom left (see photos of front and back covers). Faint impression of old price after removal of sticker at top right (see photo). But overall it looks clean and crisp, with no tears or seam splits, and with sharp corners and spine intact. With original paper inner sleeve which has minor creasing. Shipped in strong mailer with cardboard stiffeners for extra strength and security. Record inside inner removed from jacket to prevent damage during transit, and both placed in clear plastic resealable sleeve.
