The Beatles Superb 2nd State Butcher Cover Yesterday and Today LP SHRINK ~RARE~

Description: Up for sale is a beautiful unpeeled mono 'second state' Beatles Yesterday and Today 'Butcher Cover' album, with its original shrink wrap. First state 'Butcher Covers' were never pasted over, while 'second state' albums have the replacement 'trunk' cover pasted over the offending "butcher" slick, with the “V” from Ringo’s butcher smock slightly visible to the right of the top of the trunk. 'Third state' are second state 'pasteover' copies where someone has attempted to peel off the trunk cover. Second state butcher covers are far more scarce than 'peeled' third state covers, as nearly everyone who found one tried to peel it, with varying degrees of success. This example is extremely clean, with the cover having been protected by the original shrink wrap since its 1966 release. The cover grades VG+. ; The front has full shrink with a rare original price tag located on the top left corner, these where always peeled off and rarely left on. The back cover has 60% of the shrink with a few pieces of tape holding it together from the original owner. The cover does have some shelf wear as expected from being stored for this long. See photos, The shrink has protected the image and the vibrant cover still stands strong! This would make an unbelievable framed piece or most definitely the crown jewel of any collection. It has #3 printed on the back cover in the lower right corner, indicating it was printed in Scranton, PA. This also has a reprint recall letter added to complete the entire story. We had an original letter go through our brick and mortar store decades ago and we made a reprint to include with a future copy. This is not an original letter but simply ties the piece together. The disc, easily replaced, is visually graded VG(+)/VG. It’s clean but has some storage marks that are hard to photograph. With the original orange Capitol inner sleeve.
