Description: Here is a hard to find set for the advanced collector. This lot includes 3 pieces of the elusive Tango pattern made by Homer Laughlin China Company from 1936 into the early 40’s. Included here as pictured is a 9” luncheon plate, a 6 1/4” bread and butter plate, and a 5 5/8” fruit or cereal bowl. This color is blue but nicknamed “mauve blue” by collectors - a color you will also find in HLC’s original Harlequin and Riviera lines. The Tango pattern was never marked and was often a movie theater give away with admission. This set shows some evidence of use or stacking (scratching) mainly on the plates but has been around for about 85 years. There are no chips or cracks which is remarkable as these are much more fragile than their “cousin” Fiesta from the same maker. The glaze is even for the most part, please view photos and feel free to ask questions! I do have other colors from this line that I will be listing so please check it out if you are interested!
