Description: This is a beautiful oval shaped Lab Created Pink Sapphire set in a 18” sterling silver pendant necklace. This solid sterling silver pendant mounting was handmade by GEM ODYSSEY and is not hallmarked 925 but it is guaranteed to be solid sterling silver. The link necklace is hallmarked 925 on the end link closest to the lobster claw clasp - see photo #12. Lab Grown Sapphires also known as Lab Created Sapphires, are grown in a laboratory under controlled environments and have identical chemical compositions to natural Sapphires and also the same optical and physical properties. Both natural and lab grown Sapphires have a rating of 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. THIS LAB SAPPHIRE WAS TESTED WITH A PRESIDIUM GEM TESTER AND WAS CONFIRMED TO BE LAB SAPPHIRE - SEE PHOTO #13 MEASUREMENTS - The pendant measures 7/8” tall including the bail and 1/2” wide. The sterling silver necklace measures 18” long and is 2 mm wide. The pink Sapphire gemstone measures 16.4 mm x 13.1 mm.
