Description: Autographed 8x10 color photograph signed in blue permanent marker by the actors and extras who performed as Jawa’s in Star Wars A New Hope. The ten signatures include Tiffany Kurtz, Melissa Kurtz, Warwick Diamond, Frazier Diamond, Simon Henderson, Rusty Goffe, Tim Donaldson, Andrew Wickman-Miller, Joe Weber, Penny McCarthy (died 2021) and Kenny Baker (died 2016) as RD-D2. From the Steve Grad Autograph Collection and obtained in person by Steve. This piece also features three signers (Miller, Weber and Donaldson) who were used in the pick-up shots done in America after principal filming of Star Wars. The filming which took place at Death Valley National Park in California featured 7 children who were asked to play Jawa’s. This photos features three of them as well as Penny McCarthy who worked at ILM and was used a Jawa in a close up shot placing a restraining bolt on R2-D2.
