Description: Up for offer is a small antique silver-plated livery button with a bishop's mitre that includes a ducal coronet. After some research, I've concluded this may well be a button for the Bishop of Durham, who is notable in heraldry for having an unusual, ducally coronetted mitre. The button is in excellent condition. It was hard to photograph as it was so shiny, but it looks better in person. Backmark is Firmins. It measures 5/8ths of an inch / 16 mm across.Be sure to check out the other buttons I have listed!
