Pilgrims & Romance themes This is a nice SET of antique THANKSGIVING postcards that show CHILDREN who are dressed like PILGRIMS, and there is a ROMANCE theme to them. These are ANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900s. The postcards are nicely drawn and have a colorful and attractive look to them. They have good detail that makes them pleasing to look at. These are EMBOSSED postcards. They come from the publisher Birn Brothers, London. The publisher Birn Brothers published from 1903 out of London, and they had the logo B.B. Many of their early postcards were printed in Germany. They moved away from postcards during World War I, around 1915, and gradually concentrated more on book publishing. The designs of these postcards have the feel of the Thanksgiving season, and provide a glimpse of life back in the early 1900s. They are good postcards to add to a collection. They would appeal to collectors because of their nice designs, their colorful nature, and how they capture the postcard style used back in the early 1900s. Overall, a nice selection of antique Thanksgiving postcards at a reasonable price. The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (1) with a cancel date of 1911. These postcards were "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!). The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS First Class mail when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
