Here we have... an Original 1940's Australian Daybill movie poster : "MY GAL SAL"Starring RITA HAYWORTH; VICTOR MATURE According to Wikipedia:My Gal Sal is a 1942 20th Century Fox musical starring Rita Hayworth and Victor Mature. The film is a biopic of 1890s composer and songwriter Paul Dresser and singer Sally Elliot. This is an Australian version, printed by Marchant & Co, offset printers, Sydney. GREAT ARTWORK. Dimensions approx: 33 cm w x 76 cm One of a LARGE COLLECTION I am offering that we purchased in the late 80's from the estate of a deceased Sydney based antique dealer. All posters date prior to 1945 releases. CONDITION : VERY GOODCreased edge; Light spot; small tear to top edge; some creasing. CLEAN, CRISP COLOURS. Also...these pile of posters have been stored in a large bundle for many years so will need time to flatten out. They are offered with slight shaping around each fold (often with wider creasing). With this in mind, I am rating them in this manner: MINT: Virtually unused NEAR MINT: A poster that is virtually unused but may have minor edge dings and creasing to the surface. FINE: A poster showing light wear. It will show signs of use, such as edge dings, creases or minor wear to the fold lines. VERY GOOD: A poster that is well used but still presentable. May have multiple extra creases but clean and good colour. No holes or tears.GOOD: Small tears to edges, very small amount of paper loss. Light spotting.FAIR: More significant combinations of issues.POOR: Larger tears, fading, discolouration to the image.
