Offered for your consideration, a fully lined heavy leather belt holster for the S&W K Frame revolvers. A 2 position holster for strong side or cross-draw carry. Stamped on the front between two crowns: "Alfonso's HOLSTER & GUN SHOP", "LANKERSHIM BLVD. NO. HOLLYWOOD, CALIF." " HOLSTERS BY ALFONSO" as shown.Alfonso Pineda, the founder of Alfonso's of Hollywood, was born in Argentina in 1923. As a young man, Alfonso guided wealthy American sportsmen on alligator hunts. Alfonso took a byproduct of this business; the alligator hides, and turned them into fine leather goods for the tourists. In 1957, Alfonso traveled to the US, settling in California in 1959, where he found a job in the Property Department at Universal Studios in Hollywood. There he met Arvo Ojala, the designer of the popular Hollywood Fast Draw Holster. Alfonso was soon working for Arvo Ojala, producing Hollywood Fast Draw Holsters.Eventually, Alfonso founded his own holster shop, Alfonso's of Hollywood. Though best known for his beautiful Western rigs, many of which were made for Hollywood celebrities such as John Wayne, Gary Cooper, Jerry Lewis and Sammy Davis Jr., the shop offered a full line of sporting, police duty and concealment holsters. Alfonso passed away in 1995. Smooth leather lined to help protect the finish of your fine Smith & Wesson revolver. Thumb-snap for retention. Unique belt loop design allows holster to be worn strongside or cross-draw on up to a 1 1/2" belt. Holster is in very good lightly used "unmodified from original" condition.
