FABRIC: Celebrated wildlife painter, David Kiehm is renowned for capturing owl portraits in the wild with exquisite detail. Solitude, a compilation of these majestic birds is no exception. The unique oversized panel is 43" x 43" and provides a multitude of creative possibilities. It is an ideal focal point but can also be deconstructed and reconstructed into a creative masterpiece. The running yardage blocks are also unique and can be used as blocks in a quilt, toss pillows or any number of projects. In addition to the featured prints, a selection of nature inspired prints by Deborah Edwards are offered including abstract feathers, clouds, trees, bark, and birch in restful nature inspired shades of blue, gray, brown and tan. Complete your project with Crackle and Toscana basics. 100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold water, tumble dry cool, do not bleach, iron on back if necessary. Fabric printed in Korea. The overall finished size of this quilt as shown in picture 1 is 37" x 48". The kit contains a purchased copy of the Barn Owl Quilt pattern and instructions designed by Laureen Smith of Tourmaline & Thyme along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. BACKING FABRIC AND BATTING WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY. Printed fabrics in this kit are from the Naturescapes Solitude collection with the main owl designs by David Kiehm and coordinating Naturescapes fabrics by Deborah Edwards for Northcott. Pictures 2 thru 10 show the pattern and fabrics included in this kit. There are no substitutions in this kit! Skill Level: Confident Beginner 3 yards is recommended for backing fabric assuming a standard 44/45" width along with a 47" x 58" piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or for pattern design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit. About 3-1/3 yards of fabric is included in this kit along with the pattern.
