Description: This 1964 British import stereo album from Argo (ZRG 5444) comprises performances of Henry Purcell's Music for the Chapel Royal by Roger Parker (treble), Charles Brett (counter-tenor), Robert Tear (tenor), Wilfred Brown (tenor), Christopher Keyte (baritone), Christopher Bevan (baritone) and Inia Te Wiata (bass), with The Choir of St. John's College, Cambridge, directed by George Guest. Album notes are in English by Peter Le Huray. The album includes an insert sheet with full lyrics. Also included is a 2-sided photocopy of reviews of this album in issues of The Gramophone from December, 1964 and January, 1965. The outer sleeve shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2), and a small cutout near the upper right corner of the front.
