Released in 2005, the MRS-1608 retailed for a whopping $2,549, making it one of the premium workstations of the day!The MRS-1608 is a direct descendant of the Zoom's MRS-1266 and can exchange audio track data and rhythm data with both previous models. It boasts a Rhythm section providing a stereo drum machine and bass synth, both of which can be sequenced and played together with recorded audio. There is also a Phrase Loop facility for building tracks from samples and a Pad Sampler which can be used to build custom drum kits. The effects section has, among other things, amp modelling and a tuner, so guitarists/bassists can simply plug in and play. There is also a built-in CD-RW drive, plus all the other basic digital I/O and editing features you'd expect to find on a digital multitracker. Condition:This beautiful mixer is in "Very Good" condition with minor signs of use and a bright, crisp display! With a nice, clean control panel, the only thing worth mentioning is a few light scuffs to the cabinet, most too faint to make out well in the pics. All the original knobs and feet are present & complete and all LED indicators are crisp & clear. The original Zoom power supply and Owner's Manual are also in excellent condition! A set of bonus MIDI & RCA to 1/4" Audio Cables are also included! Please do inspect all the pictures thoroughly for actual condition. Service: There were no issues found with this workstation, but these decks do have a common issue with the CD drive not opening consistently. This is why, even if working, we always service the CD Drive. Not just cleaning the optics, but also lubricating the transport and installing a new belt. Also, all faders are treated with DeoxIT F5, specifically designed to both clean & lubricate fader controls.
