Description: This vintage Folger's Mountain Grown coffee tin is a 1 pound can from before 1963. It is an original coffee tin that was opened with a metal key that was attached to the bottom of the can and broke loose to use to attach to the small strip that you would roll up and release the pressure and opened the can. The smell was so inviting to me as a child and it was a treat when it was my turn to open the can. The vibrant color and sailing ship design make it a wonderful item for coffee lovers and collectors alike. Made in American and distributed from Kansas City and San Francisco. The apostrophe dates it to Pre 1963 because that is when the company was purchased by Procter & Gamble and the apostrophe was dropped. Very good condition.
