Description: In Pokémon Y, Nintendo's massively successful creature breeding and battling franchise returns with a new species of starter Pokémon, new mega evolution, improved connectivity, and for the first time in the series, full 3D graphics. As always, players take on the role of a young battle trainer who goes on quests to catch and train Pokémon, then engage in turn-based battles with other trainers to upgrade and evolve their Pokémon. In addition to the classic turn-based battles, Pokémon Y offers new Horde Battles, which pit one Pokémon against multiples foes, and new Sky Battles, in which only flying Pokémon can participate. Multiplayer content remains a key part of the franchise, with the new Player Search System (PSS) letting gamers connect to the Internet and find friends all around the world. The PSS allows for friendly battles, ranked battles, message sharing, and a variety of different trades, including the new Wonder Trade feature, which instantly executes blind trades between two random players.
