He has done a large number of manga illustrations for Japanese game tie-ins, as well as designed characters and mascots for the fantasy land Kortlek. Saitou started working on illustrations for the Pokémon TCG starting in the Aquapolis expansion, and has done artwork for over 600 cards since! His Pokémon artwork is very reminiscent of the anime series' art style.
