The knob is made of gray plastic, but has a gray rubber grip lining the top ridge. The knob is small, measuring about 1" tall (not including mounting post which is about 1/2" long as well) and the overall width is about 1 1/4" The knob has no part number, so I do not know the exact model number from which this came, but the Make was Whirlpool and the Model was Gold. Any determination of compatibility is left to the discretion of any potential buyer. I have several of these knobs and if more than one is purchased, the shipping will be the same as the purchase of only a single knob; long story short, the $4.50 shipping is the same, regardless of how many knobs you purchase.
