Description: Here is a nice vintage 1982 or 1983 made in USA Wilson A2014 BallHawk baseball glove for a Right-Hand thrower and thus fits on the left hand. The mitt was made in USA and is adult sized measuring 11.5" long through the pocket. The glove is listed in the 1982 and 1983 Wilson catalogs and sold for $85 and $90 at a time that the A2000 gloves sold for $125.50 and $130.50, so it was a quality glove. The glove can be used for baseball or softball. Stamped on the front of the glove is a figure of a hawk in a circle in the palm, with BALL HAWK below that. Also Grip-Tite Pocket, A2014, Wilson and Made in USA. On the back the only things stamped are Nylon Stitched, DP (a date code that seems to be October 1981, which means it was made for the 1982 season) and StrapLock. Glove has a laced open backstrap. It also has a nice gold and black Wilson patch that also has U.S.A. on it. The glove is fully lined, with leather on the underside of the finger stalls and interior of the glove. There is no owner's ink on the glove. The stamping on the front and back is all readable. Glove is broken in. The exterior and interior leather is nice quality and solid. Interior leather is soft, smooth and has no chafing. The lacing appears original and intact with light wear here and there. The piping is a soft and flexible vinyl material that is holding up fine. The thumb and pinky loops are functional and useable. There is a nice original black and yellow patch sewn on the back of the thumb. I have other gloves and mitts on eBay now as auctions and/or Buy it Now, and I like to combine shipping whenever possible.
