Description: LeCoultre 497 Futurematic Bumper Automatic 35mm Gold Filled Wristwatch ca 1950's. This vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Futurematic watch has a gold filled case measuring approximately 35mm in diameter x 45.6mm long lug to lug x 13mm thick with 18mm lugs. The case has a high polish finish and light wear for it's age. The watch has a back wind slide crown marked "Slide - Do Not Lift". The crown slides inward to set the time, and outward to allow the watch to run. The crown is in working condition but is very slightly finicky and you will will need to make sure the crown stays out to run. Priced accordingly. The silver dial has placed gold tone arrow hour markers, gold hands, a seconds register at three o'clock, a 40 hour power reserve at nine, and is marked "LeCoultre Futurematic Swiss". The dial is in great vintage condition. The crystal is in great condition. The inside case is stamped "Cased And Timed In USA By LeCoultre - 10K Gold Filled". The movement is stamped "LeCoultre Co. - Unadjusted - 497 - Seventeen 17 Jewels - 835519 - Swiss". All screws and jewels appear to be in good condition. This bumper automatic wind watch is running. No guarantee of future performance. The power reserve indicator is also in working condition. The watch has a stainless steel/ gold plated stretch bracelet that is in excellent condition.
