Description: A rare and very interesting Ice Age Woolly Rhinoceros (Coelodonta Antiquitatis) partial calcaneus ankle bone.A genuine item found on the bed of the North Sea, this would have belonged to one of the great beasts that roamed the, now submerged, area known as Doggerland. Dating to the Pleistocene era, this bone is estimated to be between 10,000 - 40,000 years old. Unpolished and in its natural state, this piece displays obvious damage (commensurate with age) that allows the internal structure of the bone to be visible. This would make an excellent display piece as well as a superb addition to a collection, or a fascinating and truly unique conversation piece. From the bed of the North Sea between England and The Netherlands. Please see all photos to establish condition for yourself. Any questions, please ask.Maximum dimensions are roughly 5.75" x 3.9" x 2.4" (145mm x 98mm x 60mm approx.).
