Description: Offered is this colorful and beautifully matted page (chromolithograph) from the book “The Art of Heraldry” (Heraldischer Atlas) by Hugo Gerhard Strohl, published in Stuttgart Germany in 1899. This page illustrates Heraldic imagery associated with historical figure Noel Bouton and family, Paris. Noël Bouton, Marquis de Chamilly (6 April 1636 – 8 January 1715) was a French military commander of the 17th and 18th centuries. He was named a Marshal of France in 1703. This is a hand ruled, acid free mat, done the old fashioned way with ruling pen embellished with hand cut marbled paper. This mat and backing board measures 14” by 18” and is ready for framing.
