This Material resists heat and water. This kit also includes the filter screen and most importantly the forward clutch diaphram spring. This part is shown in the second picture of the listing and is a weak point in the transmission. Over time the inner tabs of the spring can become weak and may break. If this happens the transmission will be locked in forward gear with no neutral or reverse. It is for this reason we recommend replacing this part when doing a rebuild on this gearbox.NOTE: There are several variations of these transmissions that were produced by Velvet Drive.
