This bowl was carved out of a GNARLY old piece of wood Rich has repeatedly finished and distressed this with our special bees wax to achieve a wonderful AGED look. And BECAUSE of the distressing/waxing process he puts them through these are NOT suitable for rolling dough or storing raw foods. Measures 10 5/8" x 10 3/4" wide. It stands 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" tall (remember....it's a hand carved piece). It weighs 2 1/2 Pounds. This piece has been HAND HEWN...carved out of ONE SOLID Piece of wood. You can see the wonderful rasp marks in the wood from the carving process. Rick leaves those in there to add to the primitive appearance and as a reminder that it's a handmade piece.
